Huawei has officially launched its Mate 90 series in China, introducing five models: the Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, Mate 90 Pro Max, Mate 90 Pro Max Collector’s Edition and Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design.
The new lineup focuses on flagship performance, large batteries, advanced cameras and premium displays. All models run HarmonyOS 7 and support features including NFC, Bluetooth 6.0 and satellite connectivity.

The Mate 90 Pro Max steps up to a larger 6.9-inch double-layer OLED display with a 1,320 × 2,848 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
It uses Huawei’s Kirin 9050 Pro chipset and comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
The battery is rated at 6,800mAh, supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Its main camera setup is similar to the other models, but the telephoto camera gets a major upgrade to a 200MP sensor.

It is also possible that only selected models could reach international markets if Huawei eventually expands the lineup.
Final Thoughts
The Mate 90 series gives Huawei a strong flagship lineup for 2026, with upgraded Kirin processors, large batteries and increasingly advanced camera hardware.
The Mate 90 Pro Max and RS Ultimate Design are clearly aimed at buyers looking for premium performance and photography features, while the standard Mate 90 provides a more accessible entry into the series.
For international buyers, however, the biggest question remains whether Huawei will bring any of these models to global markets.
